Help Us Support Toys for Tots

boxley toys for tots

Childhood hunger is a significant problem in our community. While schools provide food insecure children meals during the week, many go hungry during the weekend. That’s why Boxley is supporting Food for Kids, a non-profit organization that provides food-insecure children at Goodview, Huddleston, Moneta, and Montvale Elementary Schools in Bedford County, VA, with food for meals over the weekend.

Peanut butter is one hot ticket item that Food for Kids always needs. Boxley Support Center employees collected 594, one-pound jars of peanut butter from employees and the community during a recent food drive. Riding on this success, Boxley has made Support Center in Blue Ridge a year-round collection hub and sends up to seven Boxley employees each Thursday to pack the weekend sacks or help deliver them.

Help us stop childhood hunger! If you or anyone you know are interested in helping, bring any brand, ONE-POUND jars of peanut butter from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, to the Boxley Support Center, 15418 West Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Blue Ridge, VA 24064.
